The Government Procurement workstream of the Digital Industry Transformation plan - jointly led by NZRise and MBIE - invite you to join us for a focused workshop designed to shape the future of New Zealand (NZ) Government procurement for our sector.

We are looking to bring key stakeholders from both the supplier and buyer perspective together for half a day to test key assumptions, challenge our thinking and pull together your ideas for both quick wins and long term strategies.

Who should attend -

Aotearoa NZ Owned and NZ based companies who sell Digital Technology products and services to the NZ Government. Specifically we would like to hear from business owners, managers, business development managers, contract managers and service delivery specialists.
NZ Government commercial and procurement specialists who procure and contract Digital Technology products and services. Specifically we would like to hear from commercial advisors and consultants, commercial managers, contract managers, procurement specialists and managers.

Where - Pastoral House, 25 The Terrace

When - 9am - 12:30pm Monday 9th August (morning tea will be supplied)

What to expect - The workshop will be interactive, we are looking for your insights, ideas and opportunities for improvement within the NZ Government procurement system. There will be a mixture of group based brain storming, individual prioritisation and group based prioritisation activities.

Speakers - We will hear from Laurence Pidcock - GM NZ Government Procurement, MBIE, Robyn Henderson - Policy Director Digital, MBIE and Victoria MacLennan - Government Relations, NZRise, on the Digital Industry Transformation plan opportunity and to set the scene for the day.

Preparation - To help us prepare we will send you pre-reading and a pre-workshop survey to complete. Please come armed with your experiences, both good and bad, opportunities we can all learn from or leverage and processes that could be revisited or enhanced.

Our commitment - The findings of this workshop and the survey participants will complete, will be incorporated into the Digital Industry Transformation Plan document to be presented to cabinet including recommendations on potential changes.

Please register early as places are limited. We are also looking to balance the group - half from each side of the equation - so may need to restrict the number of people from any one organisation, so organisers reserve the right to select participants if the event is over subscribed.

Only registered attendees may attend and will need to sign in at security in the MBIE building.
